Korolyov – Our Cradle | Proposed Anthem Of The City of Korolyov Russia

On Saturday, April 26, I visited to the science city of Королёв in the Moscow region. Joined by my wife Elena, we were quite taken with the city, known as the ‘Cradle of Russian Science and Cosmonautics’.🚀 As a show of gratitude to our organizers we prepared a song to honor the great city. Lyrics written by Nicholas Reed, and vocals by Elena Reed.

I was joined by local organizers, who prepared various excursions in the city. Such as a tour of the House-Museum of Vladimir Lenin in the Kostino Microdistrict. It was here that the leader of the world proletariat spent several months recovering from an illness in the winter of 1922 and preparing for the Genoa Conference, and also wrote the first part of his work “Notes of a Publicist”. We also held a clean-up day in the House-Museum, which included cleaning up leaves, painting benches and the facade of Lenin’s house. We then went on a walking tour of the historical sites of the science city. As part of the walk, we visited the Glory Memorial dedicated to the city’s residents who died during the Great Patriotic War. Having honored the memory of the fallen soldiers, we headed to the square in front of the Kalinin Central House of Culture, where they viewed the community center, the mosaic panel by Lidiya Sukhova, and the monument to Yu. A. Gagarin and S. P. Korolev “Star People of the Earth”. The final point of the route was a visit to the house where chief designer S. P. Korolev lived, the foundation stone in memory of the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident, the monument to V. I. Lenin, and the checkpoint of the RSC Energia.
